Yes, friends, my retirement is approaching. After more than 40 years dedicated to selling and repairing bicycles, and after more than 20 years of Ciclos Tramontana's existence, we are looking for someone to take over this project.

My impending retirement and the lack of a successor in this family business have led us to the decision to transfer the company to someone eager to work in the exciting world of bicycles, someone who enjoys mechanics and is keen to learn, someone who isn't afraid of challenges and wants to turn their passion into their future personal and professional project. Of course, they will have my guidance and support in liaising with accessory suppliers and the bicycle brands we currently work with, as well as others waiting to be distributed on the island. I will be there for at least a few months to share the intricacies of this trade and to help the new manager decide which path to take.

The ongoing professionalization of the repair service, attendance at training courses, and a greater focus on bicycle rentals are, I believe, fundamental to continuing the project that began in 2002.

And most importantly, the attitude and way we treat our customers—caring about them and any problems that arise with their bicycles, providing quick and appropriate solutions, being honest, and understanding their perspective—will undoubtedly define, and have defined, the store's trajectory.

Chers amis, ma retraite approche. Après plus de 40 ans consacrés à la vente et à la réparation de vélos, et après plus de 20 ans d'existence de Ciclos Tramontana, nous recherchons un successeur.

Mon départ à la retraite imminent et l'absence de repreneur pour cette entreprise familiale nous ont conduits à décider de confier la direction à une personne désireuse de travailler dans le monde passionnant du vélo, qui apprécie la mécanique, a soif d'apprendre, n'a pas peur des défis et souhaite faire de sa passion son projet professionnel. Bien entendu, je l'accompagnerai et la soutiendrai dans ses relations avec les fournisseurs d'accessoires et les marques de vélos avec lesquelles nous travaillons déjà, ainsi qu'avec celles qui seront bientôt distribuées sur l'île. Je serai présent pendant au moins quelques mois pour partager mon expertise et aider le nouveau gérant à définir la stratégie à adopter.

La professionnalisation continue du service de réparation, la participation à des formations et un développement accru de la location de vélos sont, à mon avis, essentiels à la poursuite du projet initié en 2002.

Et surtout, notre attitude et la manière dont nous traitons nos clients – en étant attentifs à leurs besoins et aux problèmes qu'ils rencontrent avec leurs vélos, en leur apportant des solutions rapides et adaptées, en faisant preuve d'honnêteté et en comprenant leur point de vue – définiront, et ont déjà défini, la trajectoire du magasin.
